Aviso a podcasters (sobretodo los que tengan pensado empezar) y oyentes, todo aquel que tenga una cuenta de bliptv ha recibido este email:
At blip.tv we’re focused on being the best home for high quality, original episodic web series. To that end, we have focused on making our upload process as easy and fool-proof as possible. For a number of years we’ve permitted the upload of non-video formats, but beginning December 13th, 2011 we will be turning off the ability to upload all audio-only formats, including MP3.
Pro accounts will still have the ability to create MP3 conversions from their source video files, but direct MP3 uploads will no longer be allowed. If you are uploading an audio only podcast, we strongly recommend using a more appropriate platform such as Libsyn or Podbean. On November 15th we will begin offering an option in the blip.tv Dashboard to re-direct your current feed to a new location. This will allow iTunes to move your subscribers over to your new feed and host automatically.

Así que a partir del 13 de Diciembre se cierra el grifo para subir podcast de audio. Bliptv nos informa de que a partir del 15 de Noviembre nos facilitarán una manera de migrar nuestro feed y que Itunes lo tolere ( a mi esto me suena a ciencia ficción porque me huele una de problemas con los feeds y perdidas de capítulos anteriores…) ¿Alguien ha usado las plataformas que nos dicen, Podbean o Libsyn ?
Desde lapodcastfera.net queremos mostrar otras opciones para solucionar este problema. Si al crear el podcast en Itunes fuisteis avispados y le disteis la url de vuestro Feedburner lo tenéis francamente fácil. Simplemente seleccionar la plataforma de alojamiento que más rabia os de, ya sea de pago como Redcoruna (recordad que Kafelog ofrece un descuento con una palabra clave, más información contactad con ellos) o gratuito como Ivoox, entre otros. Y le dais el RSS de dicha plataforma con el nombre de vuestro podcast a Feedburner. Y nadie habrá notado el cambio.
Si eres de los que le dio el feed de Bliptv a iTunes, el tema es peliagudo, ya que negociar con Itunes es bastante complicado. En dicho caso solo tenemos 2 opciones, una, esperar a ver si lo que nos ofrece Bliptv es una solución sencilla y funcional (sobretodo funcional). O bien, perder el feed y crear otro.
¡Tranquilos, no cerréis el blog y salgáis gritando! ¿cómo cambiar el feed del podcast sin quedarme sin oyentes? Pues para ello tendremos que crear un último audio (o video si ya está en marcha la nueva ley de Bliptv) avisando de nuestro cambio y pidiendo educadamente que los oyentes interesados cambien la url del Feed, no seremos los primeros en hacerlo. Ni los últimos. Antes de esto tendremos que crear un Feedburner para que no nos vuelva a suceder y dárselo a Itunes.
Aviso que no será 100% efectivo y los oyentes menos activos podrían perderse por el camino. Así que les deseamos suerte en sus migraciones.
